Did You Know?... Size Does Matter

We've talked about consistency being key to a web site's appearance. Consistency in look, tone, and message presented is vital. This also applies to image size.

A site's images should all be consistent in size. When image size vary too much, with some pictures very small and others so large they take up the whole page, it destroys any semblance of professionalism that an organization may be trying to achieve.

Keep images a manageable size - large enough so they can be easily viewed, but small enough so they don't detract from the copy and other elements on the page. And choose a consistent layout for images dispersed throughout text; either center them between paragraphs, or have text wrap around them.
